Free Online Audio Books Bridge the Gap Between Generations
RADIO'S CONSIDERED "OLD TECHNOLOGY"
CD'S, IPODS,CELL PHONES AND KINDLES ARE FOR TODAY'S KIDS

As our populations age, facilities begin to go and more and more baby boomers are hitting this stage in their lives. Some of these people find reading a book difficult because of macular degeneration or other eye diseases. Sometimes it is the inability to hold a heavy book in their arthritic hands for any length of time.

But technology has now moved into the audio book area and provides kindles (which are a machine like a Palm Pilot) that reads books.then there is the other devices of CD's, iPods and mobile/cell phones.  But all these 'gadgets' are often quite beyond the technological expertise of the aged. If they can set up their CD's they are often considered by their peers quite advanced. Don't forget, that many of these group of people grew up listening to their radios which were considered VERY advanced for their era.

Today's youngsters and 'not-so-young's anymore' are far more technoligcally capable because we have passed through each new fad and phase as it has evolved. Today, you can listen to whatever type of audio book that you choose. On whatever listening gadget that you can afford. Mobile phones are usually the yougsters choice because they carry them with them anywhere and everywhere. They are far more connected than our decade ever were. It seems a constant parental cry today "Do you have to listen to THAT now?"

To these connected kids, they could be listening to a friend on a phone call or listening to their favourite pop star. But more and more are listening in to audio books that are being professionally read to them that their school curriculum has decreed they have to read for their school year.

Imagine if you/we could have listened in to a shakespere audio book instead of having to conquer "old World" English ourselves? Wouldn't we perhaps have a far better appreciation of such a renowned classic? I know I would have.

Audio books form a bridge between the generations of "baby Boomers" and Grandkids. KIds just love to know more than their elders and being able to provide a listening device, method, entertainment for their much-loved grandparents bridges the generational divide and everyone wins.

Audio books provide entertainment, learning, peace and harmony. So why not give someone you know such a wonderful gift? Check out our free section today.
